Track to Riskend farm
Track to Riskend farm
This substantial bridge was not built to carry farm carts but a mineral railway line to an ironstone and coal pit on the hill. This also explains the (unnatural) height of the eastern shore of the reservoir. This line was part of a network connected to the Forth & Clyde canal at Craignmarloch. LinkExternal link
