Peterborough rowing lake
Peterborough rowing lake
A purpose built rowing lake close to the river Nene which keeps it topped up and acts as a flood relief overspill area. I believe the lake was created after gravel was extracted for use in the construction of the Queensgate shopping centre in central Peterborough.
