Gatehouse, Inner Keep, Pevensey Castle
The gatehouse was added in the 13th century to the Norman keep which was built over a century earlier within the walls of the 3rd century Roman fort. Only one of the towers remains leaving a view across the southern side of the keep towards one of the remaining bastions.
