Embroiled in the V Diff pitch of the TD Gap
The Thearlaich-Dubh Gap - a deep rift on the main Cuillin Ridge southeast of Sgurr Thearlaich. It's an easy 30' abseil to get into it coming off the Dubhs to the south, but then you're presented with this more-or-less inescapable 80' pitch of steep basalt, which is practically impossible in the wet. Leaving my mate to do it seemed a good idea at the time, but I regretted it some hours later when he respectfully reminded me that I had to lead Naismith's Route on the Basteir Tooth.
