Abseiling from Sgurr Dubh Beag
Abseiling from Sgurr Dubh Beag
The Dubhs Ridge lies in a remote setting in the Skye Cuillin. A car was left in Glen Brittle, then my companion and I drove to Elgol for a boat trip over Loch Scavaig to Loch Coruisk. The traverse takes in Sgurr Dubh Beag (733m) via The Dubh Slabs, Sgurr Dubh Mor, a Munro at 944m, and Sgurr Dubh na Da Bheinn (938m). This 15m abseil near the summit of Sgurr Dubh Beag is free (no contact with the rock) at a couple of places.
