Rotting ships near Hoo Marina
To the east of Hoo Marina is a graveyard of ships. In the distance left of centre on the horizon is Darnet Fort while on the extreme right of the picture is Hoo Fort. These two forts on islands in the estuary once protected the approach up the Medway, Darnet Fort on the south side and Hoo Fort on the north.
