NN2510 : North ridge of Beinn Chorranach

taken 8 years ago, near to Beinn Chorranach [hill or Mountain], Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

North ridge of Beinn Chorranach
North ridge of Beinn Chorranach
Looking down the initially gentle north ridge of Beinn Chorranach to a short level section. Quite uncomfortable as my ankles have yet to get used to crampon use, and the descent has all the qualities of a weary trudge down an alpine glacier at the end of a day, minus the crevasses. The ridge ends abruptly above Abyssinia, and falls very steeply to Glen Kinglas.
The ridge is a very attractive way off Beinn Ime, and the three kilometre walk down Glen Kinglass is a very enjoyable end to the day, transforming an otherwise routine straight up and down trip from Butterbridge.
