Broadgate and the Wheatsheaf Inn
Broadgate and the Wheatsheaf Inn
Looking north from Lower Broad Street. The walled town of Ludlow was created by Edward I, with seven gates originally. Following the 19th century town refurbishment, Broadgate is the only one now remaining. It is still a working traffic way. To the right of the gate is the Wheatsheaf Inn, opened in 1738.
