Windswept has had enough!
Windswept has had enough!
This tame red deer stag called Windswept used to hang around the youth hostel at Loch Ossian where he was quite a celebrity with visitors and hill walkers. The warden had fed the deer over a period of time until it became tame and it would often go inside the hostel for a handout. I was in a large party of hill walkers that had returned from a final Munro bash on Beinn na Lap (to the north of the hostel), and Windswept was doing the rounds for food handouts. I see from my hill walking notes that he scoffed my last roll. However, once the bagpipes were brought into action again, he was off for the hills.
