NN2204 : Ben Donich

taken 8 years ago, 4 km from Monevechadan, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Ben Donich
Ben Donich
From glen level, Ben Donich always looks a bit of a lump, all you can see are its broad lower slopes, nearly all forested. From across Glen Croe, it presents a more attractive view when the more graceful upper pyramid is revealed.
Ben Donich has some very spectacular landslip features and needs great care under snow - some of the fissures are very deep. Glacier travel skills may be an asset for safe travel in deep snow.
