SD9767 : Conistone bridge

Conistone bridge
Conistone bridge
Conistone bridge is probably the most-used put-in for the middle Wharfe, as it avoids a lot of flat water in the section upstream, and has parking space that won't break the bank the way National Park carparks at Kettlewell and Linton do. Upstream river right has an awkward stile with a gate, so downstream river right is more popular, but the launch is a little more awkward. On this trip we had paddled the long section from Kettlewell, and are just drifting down to the bridge waiting for the rest of the group to catch up.
