NN2608 : East ridge of Beinn Ime

taken 8 years ago, 5 km from Succoth, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

East ridge of Beinn Ime
East ridge of Beinn Ime
The east ridge is the best way up Ime, but a long walk in from Inversnaid. There is some scrambling possible on rock steps along the way. The distant view shows the old pre glacial west - east drainage of Scotland. A line of waterways: Loch Arklet and Loch Katrine. Now this pattern is altered by glacial deepening, in this case the trench containing Loch Lomond.
