Coastal Defences
Coastal Defences
The bank of shingle must have built up since the Second World War when the pill box and tank traps were erected along the coast. Some of the tank traps have been moved to allow access to the shingle, but it would take a brave (or foolhardy) driver to tackle the gap with so much water lying on soft ground in the intervening dip.
