SS Mohegan grave in St Keverne churchyard
The SS Mohegan foundered on the Manacles rocks on 14 October 1898 and sunk within 20 minutes. 107 perished in the shipwreck and the majority of them are buried here. There have been many shipwrecks on the Manacles and there are several other such burials in the churchyard and within the church. There is also a stained glass window above the altar LinkExternal link provided by the owners of the Mohegan, The Atlantic Transport Company.
