SK1477 : A cress brook, Tideswell

taken 8 years ago, near to Wheston, Derbyshire, Great Britain

A cress brook, Tideswell
A cress brook, Tideswell
This is not the Cressbrook which joins the River Wye at Cressbrook (SK171729). It is a brook which flows through Tideswell, then Tideswell Dale and joins the Wye at SK156731. It is a brook in which cress grows, and which can be seen lining the edges of the brook. It is contaminated, presumably with lead from old mine workings, and is not fit for consumption
