The Mendel Cross
The Mendel Cross
This cross was given to Little St Mary's Church by the Revd Tom Mendel. It was made in 1951 for a Festival of Britain exhibition of church art at Lambeth Palace, to the design of Sir Ninian Comper. Of gilded bronze, it is decorated with Limoges enamels of eight saints including the four Evangelists.
