There is no immediately obvious reason why there is a fence and gate across the track leading to turbines 9 and 10 at the windfarm. It could be that the fence is a boundary between two different landowners that existed before the windfarm was built. The sign on the gate warns of ice (which can build up on the turbine blades and then be thrown off as the blades turn). It goes on the say that you enter at your own risk. If you have approached this point from the main track through the site, you will have already passed under the swinging blades of the other eight turbines...
