TG4702 : Ingrown barbed wire fence

taken 8 years ago, near to Belton, Norfolk, Great Britain

Ingrown barbed wire fence
Ingrown barbed wire fence
The fence runs across the dismantled railway trackbed of the former Gt Yarmouth to St Olaves railway, presumably to keep livestock in and people out. In the course of the years the adjoining trees have grown, and as neither they nor the fence can move the trees have grown over the barbed wire where it touched them as the diameter of their trunks expanded.
