NZ0918 : Occupation bridge under old railway

taken 8 years ago, near to Little Newsham, County Durham, Great Britain

Occupation bridge under old railway
Occupation bridge under old railway
The bridleway which links the eastern edge of Streatlam park with the A67 north of Whorlton is difficult to follow past Appleby brothers works, but is at least clearly signed down the hill to this way under the old railway line. The bridge is in good condition and made of very red sandstone, which is in contrast with most of the local stone which is a much paler tan colour, although the copings seem to be made of this lighter stone.
