Redevelopment of a slum area on the Royal Mile undertaken by architect Sir Basil Spence for Edinburgh City Corporation in the 1960s. One and two-bedroom flats, small shops and Jenny Ha's pub. Arcades give access to rear of properties, including courtyard at Brown's Close.
