West Wallsend Piece
West Wallsend Piece
The name of the field according to the 1839 tithe map with Pevensey Castle just visible across the levels centre left. Wallsend was the name of the small hamlet that existed here prior to the growth of the settlement of Pevensey Bay which swallowed it up from the late 19th century onwards.
