TV5895 : Beachy Head Lighthouse

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Birling Gap, East Sussex, Great Britain

Beachy Head Lighthouse
Beachy Head Lighthouse
This lighthouse came into operation in 1902. Photographed from as near to the cliff edge as it was safe to stand. At this point, the vertical drop, to the beach, is approximately 100 metres (330 feet)!

It would appear that another section of cliff, at this location, will collapse into the sea within the next few years.
