Piper Dam
Piper Dam
Frozen loch, with just a small area of open water available. In January 2010 the loch, along with Loch Leven was considered frozen enough to hold a bonspiel - the 2000 strong Grand Match of curling - the event was sabotaged by deep snow. An attempt was made to hold the event at the Lake of Menteith but a combination of deeper water and poor road connections made Nanny nervous.
