Gale, caught Swann bowled Ealham
Gale, caught Swann bowled Ealham
A split-second after I pressed the shutter, Yorkshire's Andrew Gale was caught at second slip by Graeme Swann (second right, with the white sunhat) off the bowling of Mark Ealham, late on the third day of an absorbing match. Notts won the following day, Ealham finishing with 7-59, and finished runners-up to Durham in the County Championship in 2008. Graeme Swann later became famous. Mark Ealham retired at the age of 40 at the end of the 2009 season; Andrew Gale will captain Yorkshire in 2010. The other players in the picture (left to right) are Notts' wicket-keeper and captain Chris Read, Adam Voges at first slip, Yorkshire's Adam Lyth (the non-striker) and Andre Adams (third slip).
