Tett Turret
Tett Turret
This is a photo of a Tett Turret one of the rarest forms of pillbox. It was simply a 4-foot diameter concrete drainage pipe sunk vertically into the ground with a rotating cap for a machine gun. Doing duty in one of these must have been incredibly uncomfortable. This one is located on Hornchurch aerodrome now a country park.
