Oare marshes, near Faversham
Viewed from a hide looking across East Flood. The site consists of 81 hectares of grazing marsh with freshwater dykes, water scrapes and saltmarsh. In the distance is the Isle of Sheppey with the Ferry Inn, which used to be accessible by ferry from the causeway at the end of Harty Ferry Road. The Nature reserve information centre and car park is at the end of this road by the causeway seen towards the left in the distance. In the water are various waterfowl including coots, shovellers, pintails and teal.
