Zebra crossing, Almond Drive, Malpas
Zebra crossing, Almond Drive, Malpas
Most pedestrian crossings in Newport are now signal-controlled. This unsignalled zebra crossing is on Almond Drive, between Malpas Park Primary school LinkExternal link on the left and Larch Grove shops LinkExternal link on the right.

The Stagecoach bus is on service 3B returning to the central bus station.
The outward journey is to the edge of Claremont via Malpas Road, Blaen-y-pant and Montgomery Road. Originally operated by Newport Bus but discarded as a loss-making route, the service has been run by several companies. Before Stagecoach, it was operated by Francis Drake Travel, which ceased trading in 2009.
