A busy afternoon at Colwich Lock, Staffordshire
Trent and Mersey Canal. Lock No 21 raises the water level by 6ft 6in - about two metres).

On this autumn Thursday afternoon we had a temporary mechanical problem. At one time there was a queue of five waiting to enter the lock, and the delay was over an hour (some boaters are very slow). In this image we have rectified the problem, and are approaching at about 0.5 mph, ready to take up third position.
