Now that the scaffolding has been removed from the tower of All Saints, Gresford it is possible to see once again the First Geodetic Levelling bench mark and bolt on the west face of the tower; it is just north of the west door SJ3454 : All Saints church, Gresford west door. The mark is a branch off the Newtown to Chester line surveyed in 1857.
