Track to Kelvin Jetty
Track to Kelvin Jetty
On the first Edition of the O.S. (surveyed 1859) a road leading to the canal is represented on the right of this scene. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )

At the bottom of this path just before the canal is one of the narrowest places on the east- west watershed of Scotland, where on the left hand side there is a ditch that drains to the east while on the right the Kelvin flows into a ditch that drains to the west. The distance between the diverging water courses is approx. 50m.
