Northwick Marsh SSSI, Worcester
Northwick Marsh SSSI, Worcester
There is nothing spectacular about Northwick Marsh, of which this is a part. However it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). According to a Worcester City Council website:- "Northwick Marsh is important because of its intermittent flooding and the presence of the Marsh Stitchwort, and is important as one of the last remnants of unimproved inundation wetland in Worcestershire. It supports a good range of wetland plants including several uncommon species, and is important for breeding and wintering birds."
