NT3249 : Blackside

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Dewar, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Blackside
Blackside
View from Wooly Law over the spur of Glowerin' Lee to Blackside, the aptly named flank of Adams Rig. Nearly all the ground is heather moorland, hence the common use of "black" in place names. The heather looked very dark through eyes exposed to sunny snow.
