Lancashire Fusiliers War Memorial, Gallipoli Gardens (formerly Sparrow Park)
This memorial to the Lancashire Fusiliers who died in the First World War was designed by Edwin Lutyens, architect of the Whitehall cenotaph. It was first unveiled in 1922 at the front of the former barracks which fronted Bolton Road.

The memorial is a grade 2 listed monument. In 2009, after much local controversy, the memorial was moved to Sparrow Park (which was re-named Gallipoli Gardens to tie in with the regimental connection)in Bury town centre where in now stands adjacent to a new regimental museum.
