Rotting stile onto Barningham Moor
Rotting stile onto Barningham Moor
The public footpath SW of NZ0809 : Park House crosses one easy-to-spot and functional stile, but then becomes very hard to follow. After passing through a gate in a terrible state of disrepair, opening of which threatens to destroy it, one soon reaches this stile onto the open moor. Not that it helps much, as all the steps on this side have rotted off, and the wall looks none too stable, either. Fortunately, the remains of another gate on the right are low enough to step over (any attempt to open that would reduce it to kit form). I have the impression that this route onto Barningham Moor is not much used !
