SJ0542 : Sheep grazing manured field

taken 8 years ago, near to Cynwyd, Denbighshire/Sir Ddinbych, Great Britain

Sheep grazing manured field.
Sheep grazing manured field.
Straw bedding from livestock buildings is spread on grassland during the winter months on farms with no ploughed land. This sometimes, depending on the weather, produces a flush of growth, and it is important to graze this off to ensure the soft grass does not get frost damaged.
