Terminating Trains
Terminating Trains
Circle and District Line trains waiting in the centre roads at Edgware Road station. The Circle Line train on the left has just terminated forcing passengers going to Baker Street and beyond to wait for the Hammersmith and City or the followin Circle service. The train on the right is the Edgware Road to Wimbledon service that normally terminates in these platforms.

The train on the left is formed of C69 stock, ordered in 1968 from Metropolitan Cammell. These trains replaced elderly CO/CP stock - see TQ4484 : CO Stock at Barking - on the Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines. The CO/CP stock was cascaded to the District Line to replace much older Q stock. The train on the right is the similar C77 Stock. These were bought as part of the replacement for the CO/CP trains from the District Line in 1977.
