Glaslyn
Glaslyn
Managed by the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, this substantial moorland lake at an elevation of nearly 500m is fed from the surrounding moorland, and its outflow is the source of the Afon Dulas, which disappears quickly down the ravine of Esgairfochnant LinkExternal link . At this time, it still had a partial ice cover concentrated at the eastern end of the llyn owing to the northwesterly wind.
