SN8294 : Ice patterns on Glaslyn

Ice patterns on Glaslyn
A steady northwesterly wind has thawed much of the ice left from the recent cold spell and has shifted most of the ice sheets towards the eastern half of the lake. The very regular patterns roughly follow the shoreline. I presume they have resulted from ice sheets becoming detached from the shore during daytime, floating away and then freezing over at night again.
