Blackshaw Brook
Blackshaw Brook
The site of the former Starmount bleachworks and Lomax papermill at Blackshaw Brook Valley in Little Lever, Bolton, has been reclaimed after being derelict for 27 years.

The formerly industrialised valley now provides open space and a recreational resource for the growing communities of Bradley Fold, Radcliffe North, Breightmet and Little Lever.

In addition to walking, Starmount Lodge and the associated Browns Road lagoons are now suitable for fishing and wildlife conservation.

This is the second of the three smaller lodges.
