ST9922 : Hollow tree at Wood House Hanging

Hollow tree at Wood House Hanging
Hollow tree at Wood House Hanging
The tree with a large hollow is covered in ivy.
Ivy use tree trunks solely for support. Its climbing roots draw no nourishment through tree bark, nor does it strangle the tree. Its underground roots, however, do compete with tree roots for soil nutrients; only in that way is it harmful, and then to a trivial degree.
