TQ6607 : Old and New Marsh Road

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Wartling, East Sussex, Great Britain

Old and New Marsh Road
Old and New Marsh Road
The old course crosses the new straightened course to the east of Middle Bridge. The former was the ancient route across the marshes linking Pevensey to Hooe and was straightened between the wars to take the ever growing traffic that used this road to head east towards the new resorts of Bexhill and Hastings.
