TQ6606 : Site of Old Middle Bridge

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Wartling, East Sussex, Great Britain

Site of Old Middle Bridge
Site of Old Middle Bridge
The lane is Old Marsh Road and is the former route of the track across the marshes that linked Pevensey to Hooe. Both road and bridge were superseded by the straighter course of the A259 between the wars with the site of the current bridge now reduced to little more than a footbridge for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
