Cosy Hall, Water Lane
Cosy Hall, Water Lane
According to the hall's website, Cosy Hall has been "renovated, restored and enlarged", and "is now Newport’s Community Building owned and managed by the community through the Charitable Trust and its Managing Trustees". The original part of the building dates from 1852, when it was a coach manufactory. In 1881 it became a Gospel Hall, and rather surprisingly, as late as 1925, it became a music hall. The website explains in more detail how it became a community building, and what goes on there:- LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
