Ladybird on spruce
I was attracted by the photographic possibilities of the bright green shoots, then spotted (!) the ladybird. It appears to be an Eyed Ladybird (Anatis ocellata), Britain's largest species of ladybird, whose host plants are "needled conifers". See Link
