A train approaching Fairbourne entering the short tunnel built as protection from frequent rock falls on this stretch of the Cambrian coast railway. It was constructed in 1934 after a rockfall had caused derailment of a freight train with two fatalities the previous year.

In the distance is Fairbourne and its sand and shingle beach.
