NC3912 : Glenmuick

taken 12 years ago, near to Glenmuick [other Features], Highland, Great Britain

An abandoned sheep farm beside the Cassley, where the Abhainn Gleann na Muic(Glenmuick river) joins the main river. The wide part of the Cassley is the vehicle ford, although walkers can cross dryshod at a narrow part of the river to the north. Everyone gets wet crossing the smaller river, the bridge on the maps is long gone. The two rivers have cut down through glacial deposits leaving an obvious terrace on the floor of U -shaped Glen Cassley.
