SN8223 : Remains of a stone circle

taken 12 years ago, 5 km from Llanddeusant, Carmarthenshire/Sir Gaerfyrddin, Great Britain

Remains of a stone circle
Remains of a stone circle
With a lot of imagination the stone circle noted on the OS map can be identified, although there are plenty of rocks scattered over the fairly dry grassy spur of Cefn Disgwylfa. If the centre of the circle is taken as the bottom right corner of the picture, then there are four stones making up a quarter sector. Or maybe not. This SW corner is the highest point of the square, which slopes down gently northeastwards towards the Usk reservoir.
