taken 12 years ago, near to Balmerlawn, Hampshire, Great Britain

Spring flooding alongside Ober Water, New Forest
Spring flooding alongside Ober Water, New Forest
This flooded area is between Ober Water and the path from Ober Corner to Bolderford Bridge. In the foreground new bracken is shooting up amongst the old. Beyond that a normally damp area of grass has become flooded following a few days of rain after a dry period. It is this kind of flooding that maintains the riverine woodland on the banks of the river.
