Footbridge over the Lymington River, New Forest
Footbridge over the Lymington River, New Forest
This footbridge crosses the Lymington River just after it leaves the Water Copse Inclosure southeast of New Park. On this particular occasion the bridge leads nowhere because the swollen river has flooded much of its surroundings. In the foreground on the left are the concrete remains of the previous footbridge. The "weir" in the river is caused by a fallen tree trunk below the surface.
