Crayford, former Vickers works railway bridge
Crayford, former Vickers works railway bridge
This iron lattice bridge, in remarkably fine fettle for its age, spans the Wansunt River on Crayford Marshes close to Maiden Lane. It is not easily accessed from here unless you are adept at negotiating barbed wire fences!

The Vickers railway seems to have existed from the earliest days of their association with Crayford, and was in use until the 1950s.
